The man who does it all, Ahmed El Gendy! Ahmed El Gendy is a Modern Pentathlon star who not only competes and excels in one sport, but five. El Gendy was named the International Modern Pentathlon Union [UIPM] Best Junior Male Athlete in 2018 and 2019, and in 2018 he was awarded the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Creative Sports Award for outstanding success in sports. One of his other remarkable achievements is winning a bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships and qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. And his last achievement is that he won Egypt’s first-ever Olympic medal in modern pentathlon and the first silver medal in the Tokyo Olympic Games as he achieved 1,477 points, only five points behind Choong, who won the gold medal. Ahmed El Gendy is the human embodiment of commitment, perseverance, and resolve, he inspires each and every one of us here at ASN to always do better.
